Rouge Dior Forever Transfer-Proof Lipsticks Review

I have been testing the Rouge Dior Forever Transfer-Proof Lipsticks for a couple of weeks now. Check out my review below, which also contains swatches, textures, before and after shots.

May 2023 Update: Since posting this review I have found a way to make these products work! Make sure you prep your lips well and use a lip liner underneath. They will not only work but will also last for hours. Love them now 🙂

Review

Dior is one of my all time favourite brands (more on that can be expected on future posts), so my expectations were high.I initially hoped the lipsticks would have some form of embossing. If you check my instagram, you can clearly see that I have a passion for lipsticks, particularly if they have an embossing! They didn’t, unfortunately! On the other hand, Dior Beauty has just announced a new embossed lipstick (more on that later).

The company describes the formula as matte, transfer-proof, without feeling dry on the lips.I’m afraid the formula isn’t for me. It’s very drying to my lips. You can clearly see in the photos.

All in all, I think investing in one of these lipsticks is a really good investment if your lips work well with matte lipsticks. They’re great for events or weddings, if you have one coming up. If you have dry lips, these may not be the best for you.

  1. Good to know this, I was worried they’d be too dry so I didn’t buy any, so think I’ll pass now.

    1. I’m so glad you found it useful. I was definitely let down with this one, but I love most of their products so that’s probably a good thing 😉 thank you for reading x

I am beyond excited for this new project of yours my dearest Sofia! And I loved reading your honest review about these lipsticks! I got one shade only, no.866, described as a brick red/terracotta. I have to say that I really love the formula! I don’t find it dry whatsoever (and I do have extremely dry lips). Plus, it lasts me way longer than a normal bullet lipstick. Anyways, I have to say that the fact that this collection doesn’t have any embossing, left me quite underwhelmed… because, you know… we are all here for the luxe details! 😀 and Dior always delivers that. So it was a bit disappointing to not see that on this launch… LY girl!

    1. Thank you darling 🥰 I’m glad so many people liked it though! That’s my favourite thing about beauty, it’s so personal and sometimes what works for some, doesn’t work for you. And I agree, I was waiting for an embossing and was disappointed too. We have the Christmas collection to enjoy 😉 LY!
