Clarins Joli Rouge – New Launch

Clarins have launched a new generation of their iconic Joli Rouge lipstick with a more responsible product and kind to the skin.

Their tagline “Not just a lipstick” is the perfect description of a lipstick created with 84% skincare formula that has 80% natural ingredients.

The formula exists in 51 different shades and 3 different finishes: satin, shine and matte.

New formula

The new generation of Joli Rouge offers a formula with ingredients of natural origin, two of which are:

  • Organic camelia oil: cold pressed and many nutritious qualities. Camellia oil is high in polyphenols, which are plant compounds that help calm inflammation
  • Shea unsaponifiable: a skin-soothing ingredient obtained from a faire trade sector, in West Africa, and known for its nourishing benefits.

Eco Lipstick

Clarins had designed a more responsible product with a refillable packaging made in France and cases made of 20% plastic.

The Shades

From the 51 shades available the brand kindly gifted me 3 shades to test.

Shine | Soft Berry

Satin | Apple

Matte | Sandy Pink

My feedback

I love the packaging; I find it very elegant and I enjoy the fact that is has some recycled plastic.

I really enjoyed the shade range the brand chose for me. I truly prefer a rose shade and find them very easy to use.

While I would have expected the shine and satin lipsticks to be very comfortable on the lips, I was curious to see how I felt with the matte lipstick. I found it very comfortable on the lips too.

Thank you Clarins Portugal for the invite to the launch of the new lipstick and for giving me such a gorgeous trio of lipsticks.
