Imagine yourself in central Lisbon. It’s a sunny day, you can smell pastry in the air, Portuguese people walk next to you, laughing, in a very good mood. In front of you is a beautiful, old style, colourful street with beautiful architecture. This is a perfect moment. How could I make it even better?
The answer is Skinlife. As someone who loves skincare, make-up, beauty in general, I love visiting stores. When I moved to Lisbon I knew I wanted to find the perfect store. With niche brands that I couldn’t find anywhere else other than London and other big cities. And that’s where Skinlife comes in.

I was introduced to Skinlife by a very dear friend and content creator Marta. I first visited the store last year in 2021 and absolutely loved it. So when I got back living in Lisbon I visited the store again and realised it was, indeed, my favourite beauty store in the country.
They have two stores, one at Chiado and one at Avenida da Liberdade. Both stores are magnificent in their own way. One is very modern with beautiful window architecture, very light and airy. The other has a more traditional, pharmacy style architecture, with beautiful wood tops and super luxurious decoration.

But the best bit is the brands they sell. From Augustinus Bader, Dr Barbara Sturm and Ubeauty, to the nice perfume realms of Byredo, Diptyque and Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and even Westman Atelier. They have the best niche brands and it’s hard to leave the store without at least one product.
Sure, Lisbon is best known for the beautiful weather, phenomenal architecture, creative culture, and even some of the nicest people in Europe. However, to me, Skinlife should be part of that list. If you visit Lisbon, don’t forget to add it to your list.
